Revd Jenny MacGregor

My name is Reverend Jenny MacGregor and I am the minister in pastoral charge of three section churches of the North Staffordshire Circuit.  These being Audley Methodist Church, Halmer End Methodist Church and Bradwell Methodist Church.

I come from a Methodist background, 20 years as a member of Budleigh Salterton Methodist Church in Devon where I was trained as a Sunday School teacher. I was involved with MAYC which included taking worship services both in church and also in the open air.  My travels eventually took me to Whitby Methodist Church in Ellesmere Port and then on to Highway Church Ewloe in the Buckley & Deeside Circuit, North Wales.  Here I remained for 32 years, working as Sunday School Superintendent, Youth leader, Kaleidoscope tutor, Nursery founder and worker.  In this circuit I trained as a Local Preacher, applied my secretarial skills as the Circuit meeting secretary and later became a Lay Pastoral worker.  Further theological and academic training continued firstly under the Methodist Foundation scheme at Bangor University with one of the tutors being the late Revd Graham Slate and I did my pre-ordination training at the Hartley Victoria College (HVC) Manchester with tutors Revd John Harrod, Revd Jane Craske and Revd Andrew Pratt.  I received my BA degree with Hons in Contextual theology and I was ordained in 2005 whilst working in the Wolstanton and Audley Circuit which has now become the North Staffordshire Circuit.

I have three wonderful grown up children, Robert, Catherine and Claire and two cheeky gorgeous grandsons called James and Harry.  They all live in North Wales at the moment.

My love of God stems from a relationship which has journeyed with me from a very early age, nurtured by my parents, church families and life experiences and it has been a delight to glimpse God in so many diverse ways.

I also enjoyed working and training ecumenically bouncing ideas of one another and sharing fresh insights, which have been a challenge at times.

All our churches have wonderful friendly and caring people in them and up to date media equipment for added visual reflection which speaks not only to our regular congregation but also to our friends and neighbours who join us at baptisms, funerals and special services.

I enjoy being involved in the community, working with the local Schools and as a Governor to Sir Thomas Boughey High School.

I invite you to attend our services and share in worship and reflection, offering your insight into the relationship you have found with God.

As they say in Wales, pob bendith
(every blessing) to you all.

Love and Blessings

Revd Jenny MacGregor
